This procurement builds upon the Waikato District Data Transformation Strategy, aligning with
operations. It addresses the evolving needs within Business Intelligence (BI), Geospatial Information
Systems (GIS), and cloud-based data integration, and aims to establish a flexible, responsive supplier
panel. Through strategic partnerships and structured knowledge transfer, the plan seeks to enhance
service delivery, reduce initiative backlogs, and increase internal capabilities, supporting WDC's
commitment to long-term community engagement and sustainable, data-driven decision-making.
By leveraging a mix of local and global suppliers, this procurement plan focuses on creating a cost effective,
cloud-first infrastructure that can support real-time data processing and secure integration
