Overview

Wellington Water Limited (WWL) is tasked with the delivery of 3 waters’ services across the wider Wellington Region for its six client Councils. The Customer Operations Group (COG) of Wellington Water delivers operational activities and minor capital works for the client Councils across the network asset portfolio. COG is looking to procure a panel of contractors to deliver an $18 million dollar, per annum minor capital works program (termed internally, Reactive Renewals) alongside providing after-hours support to its operational teams.
The Minor Capital Works program consists of projects across three waters reticulation, pump station and reservoir assets. The projects typically consist of works that require minimal design, and address areas that present an immediate operational challenge. The work will be allocated across the panel for delivery and it is expected that panel contractors will be able to deliver all aspects of the works (civil works, mechanical and electrical etc.). It is expected that the successful tenderers become a one-stop shop for the works and be able to project manage and delivery the entire scope.
The contract also requires the contractors to provide after-hours emergency response services for COG. This service will require the contractor to be rostered on call and have staff and equipment available to respond to calls from WWL on an “as required” basis to provide support at large asset failures and other after-hours and/or storm events.
