The Wellington Trolley Bus Overhead Electrical Network (the Network), and its associated infrastructure, operated by Wellington Cable Car Company Limited (WCCL), is being removed from service as of 1 July 2017.
WCCL is seeking to appoint a contractor for the removal and disposal of its infrastructure associated with the Network.
An experienced contractor is required to undertake the physical decommissioning of this network as well as the associated traffic management to ensure safety and to minimise delays to both local and regional traffic. The successful tenderer will be working closely with the public on a daily basis and must have a proven and safe working methodology of this type of works, in an urban, city centre environment.
Any prospective tenderer should have the experience and capability to decommission and remove the entirety of the network as specified without the need for extended clarification of scope. Therefore, any experience with maintaining or installing the kind of network being decommissioned would be an advantage.
