A Request for Information around the options for developing a primary birthing facility in the Auckland District Health Board district.
This RFI is for you if you are:
• Already providing a primary birthing facility in any District Health Board (DHB) area
• If you are considering developing a primary birthing facility in the Auckland DHB district
• Considering entering into the provision of a primary birthing facility
Auckland DHB’s current contract for a primary birthing facility will end in 2019 and we are planning now for how we will meet the needs of women and their whanau who choose to access a primary maternity facility in the future.
This RFI is not seeking information on secondary or tertiary maternity care or facility.
The information gathered as part of this process will help us decide on our next steps for supporting primary birthing in the Auckland DHB district.
