Wellington City Council maintains 970 kilometres of footpaths and accessways, 697 kilometres of roads, and 2,363 metres of bridges and tunnels that enable over 200,000 residents to move around the city every day. The Council’s transport infrastructure has a replacement cost of 1.4 billion.
This procurement activity relates to the renewal of the current roading maintenance and renewal contracts for Wellington City Council’s transport infrastructure. The annual maintenance budget is approximately $40m.
The new contracts will commence 1 July 2020 and with the anticipated Contract term of 3 years plus an option to extend for a further 2 year term.
