This procurement relates to the delivery of weed control to protect, enhance and restore Wellington City Council’s high value ecological sites (at least 78 sites).
The contract is for an initial term of three years, with the option of renewal for a further two years at the sole discretion of the Buyer. We look to put in place two or three contracts with Suppliers for these services. Previously this work has been provided by a two Suppliers.
The Parks, Sport and Recreation Urban Ecology team currently manage pest plants in Wellington City Council reserves and sites of ecological significance. This procurement is for scheduled ecological weed control services within these three Sectors; Northwest, Coastal and Central. This work requires specific manual and chemical control and appropriate record keeping.
