Western Bay of Plenty District Council (Council) wishes to upgrade both the Athenree and Wharawhara Water Treatment Plants (WTPs) to be able to fluoridate the drinking water and meet Drinking Water Standards.

The fluoridation component of the upgrade must be completed no later than 31 July 2025 to ensure Council complies with the directive received by the Ministry of Health (MoH).

This opportunity involves design and construction at both WTPs including associated electrical, civil, geotechnical, mechanical, process, installation, and commissioning, access roads and plant standing areas.
