RPMP Regional Monitoring Programme 2015 - 2018

The Waikato Regional Council invites tenders from suitably qualified and experienced contractors to undertake possum and rat monitoring activities for the period 1 July 2015 to 30 June 2018. The successful tenderer(s) will be regarded as the Council’s preferred monitoring supplier(s) for all scheduled monitors and any additional possum and rat monitoring activities as they arise during the contract term.

Tenderers should note some of the monitoring activities specified, particularly in the Coromandel, include monitoring on public conservation land managed by the Department of Conservation (DOC), and on privately owned land where there are known populations of kiwi, requiring raised sets to be used.

The Council will require the successful tenderer(s) to provide high quality customer service in addition to undertaking Rat Tracking and RTC monitoring to the latest National Pest Control Agency (NPCA) protocol. The Council also places a large emphasis on the importance of providing concise, timely and accurate reporting.

It is important to note tenders will only be accepted from those contractors who have met in advance of the tender closing date, the Council’s Pre-Approved Contractor criteria confirming contractor competency, health and safety processes in place, insurance, staff qualifications and experience etc. Please contact the Council Key Contact Person to discuss the pre-approval process and information required.

Tenderers may submit joint venture tenders. Where joint ventures are being considered tenderers must refer to Part C clause 27 of the Conditions of Tender and should contact the Council Key Contact Person in the first instance.

Tenders are to be submitted by 12 noon, Wednesday 1 April 2015
