Overview

Waikato Regional Council (Council) invites tenders for Huntly North Stopbank Upgrade: Construction Works.

Huntly North stopbank stretches between 2 and 46 Great South Road at the north of Huntly, on the east side (true right) of the Waikato River.
Due to settlement over time the stopbank has fallen below design crest level and is now requiring an upgrade. The level of service provided by this section of stopbank needs to be maintained for the residents and landowners situated behind the embankment. There is also a need to rebuild a portion of the stopbank at the southern end, as it currently terminates beneath buildings on a private property. There are also stormwater assets that need to be installed on the site.

The Contract will be split into two separable portions. Separable Portion One will involve the stormwater works and upgrading the stopbank from chainage 550-720m. Separable Portion Two will involve the stopbank upgrade from chainage 0-550m. Separable Portion Two is only to be carried on upon written instruction from the Engineer.

The scope of works is detailed in the RFT document. Draft resource consent conditions are included, should final consent conditions be approved prior to the close of the RFT, the approved consent conditions will be sent as a NTT.
