Overview
WRC uses a number of models, one of which is the Waikato Integrated Scenario Explorer (WISE). The Directorate Review accepted that “...the WISE model is one tool, and that other modelling tools need to be considered as part of the review” . The need to explore other potential spatial models as part of the review is reinforced by the findings of the Science and Information Strategy, which also states that WISE has “yet to achieve its potential”.
