Overview

Suppliers of the Waikato District Health Board - Are you a Māori business?

In December 2020, Cabinet approved the progressive procurement policy aimed at increasing the diversity of Government suppliers. All mandated government agencies will be required to award at least 5% of their yearly procurement contracts to Māori businesses.
Te Puni Kōkiri and Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment are implementing the progressive procurement policy to support Māori enterprise. For this policy, a Māori business is defined as:  having at least 50% Māori ownership; or
 a Māori Authority as defined by the Inland Revenue Department.

The Waikato District Health Board is seeking information from Māori Businesses who supply to the Waikato Region and any supplier who wishes to in the future.

We are collecting this information via a GETS notice and a short survey. The Waikato District Health Board will use this information to provide a baseline for the Waikato District Health Board to report against the policy target.
