This Notice of Information is to advise that Waipa District Council is seeking to establish a panel of reliable, professional trades contractors to support us in maintaining the district’s assets. Our Trades Services Panel will cover the following trades:
• Carpentry
• Multi Trades contracting
• Plumbing and drainage
• Fencing
• Locksmith
• Signage
• Electrical
• Air Conditioning (HVAC, maintenance & excluding office buildings)
• Glazing
• Painting
• Pest Control
• Roofing
• Cleaning (including softwash)
• Nursery
• Weed Control
• Arboriculture
• Light Civils
• Mechanical engineering services
The panel will be used for ad-hoc work requests and when we require urgent work to be done. We are seeking suppliers who are able to demonstrate the following capability in these timeframe categories:
(a) Urgent Requests you must:
Respond within thirty (30) minutes
Be on-site within two (2) hours
(b) Non-urgent requests you must
Respond within two (2) hours
Be on-site within twenty four (24) hours
(c) General enquiries you must:
Respond within two (2) working days
The categories of services where this timeframe for response is required are:
• Carpentry
• Multi Trades contracting
• Plumbing and drainage
• Locksmith
• Electrical
• Air Conditioning (maintenance)
• Glazing
• Roofing
• Cleaning
• Arboriculture
The term of the panel is 3 years, there is no guarantee of work to panel members. The Pre-conditions to applying for the panel are:
1. Pre-qualification with SHE or agree to become pre-qualified
2. Public Liability insurance to the value of $2M
3. Must be registered with relevant industry body for electrical or plumbing (where applicable)
4. Demonstrate your company meets our ‘Local Supplier’ definition (noted in the RFP document)
5. Accept the contract terms and conditions
6. Agree to comply with Supplier Code of Conduct
Proposals will be evaluated on the following criteria: Relevant Experience & Track Record, Relevant Skills & Resources, General Capability, Local Impact Statement, and a Rates Schedule. Criteria will be evaluated on a Pass/Fail basis.
