Overview

We are inviting requests for proposals for Project Management services to develop a new tertiary campus and curriculum located in Tauranga CBD (Durham Street).

The Tauranga CBD campus will be a world-class modern and high-tech tertiary education building in the Tauranga CBD, creating an environment with flexible, innovative space for teaching and learning, and collaborations with industry, business, and the Bay of Plenty community. The campus will provide the missing link in the network of tertiary campuses in the Bay of Plenty, a world-class university-led facility providing purpose built space for leading academics, researchers and teaching staff, postgraduate and undergraduate students, industry and community collaborations and commercialisation activities. It will deliver programmes and activities directly related to areas of economic development in the region, and enable a step change in improving social, educational and economic outcomes for the people of the Bay of Plenty. This project is being led by the University of Waikato, with governance and management reporting structures in place to the University of Waikato Council, the Tauranga Tertiary Campus Charitable Trust, and the Tertiary Education Partnership Executive.

The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to invite external companies to submit their proposals to the University of Waikato with information on their skills, services, location, and experience in project management with specific relation to tertiary education capital projects over $10 million. Be advised that the University will only accept tenders from Project Management companies or organisations who have a physical presence within Waikato or Bay of Plenty, such that the core staff who will be providing the services are domiciled in the region.

RFP clarifications close 20 July 2015 at 3.00pm. All communication/correspondence between any Respondent and the University will be conducted in writing through the following authorised representative.
