The purpose of this Request for Proposal is to invite suppliers to submit their proposals to the University of Waikato with information on their skills, services and experience in providing cleaning services.
The University is a multi-campus tertiary educational institution based in Hamilton New Zealand, with a population of approximately 9,900 students and approximately 1,500 staff. The majority of its facilities are spread over 230 buildings (including Halls of Residence) on the 65 hectare Hillcrest campus, Hamilton, New Zealand. Of the 230 buildings, 14 buildings are included in this RFP, with a combined floor area of around 31, 823 m2. There are also several Remote Locations at Rotorua, Gisborne and a slightly larger multi-site operation in Tauranga.
The University spends a significant annual amount on cleaning services with 3rd party suppliers. As a result of this tender, the University is anticipating a 3 year agreement, and will also consider an additional two years if the supplier demonstrates (over the period of the agreement) that they are continuing to deliver value to the University.
Core service requirements is to engage a single cleaning service supplier capable of providing; competitive pricing, significant and consistent improvement on the standards of cleaning services, streamlined contract management, and improved environmental processes in line with our Environmental Policy.
RFP questions close 4 May 2015 at 4.00pm. All communication/correspondence between any Respondent and the UOW will be conducted in writing through the following authorised representative.
