The International Tobacco Control (ITC) project is an international research programme that uses longitudinal survey data to systematically evaluate the impact of tobacco control polices and interventions on smoking at a population level. The University previously led the New Zealand arm of the ITC between 2006 and 2009. The ITC NZL is a cohort study of smokers and recent quitters in which we will collect data over two initial survey waves. The focus of the work to be commissioned will be: initial recruitment and interviewing of approximately 1500 participants at wave 1; following-up wave 1 participants at wave 2; and, replenishing the sample to bring the total number of wave 2 interviews to approximately 1500.
The purpose of this Registration of Interest (ROI) is to provide the University with the appropriate information to be able to identify those businesses which are interested in and, in the University’s view, most capable of delivering the CATI fieldwork for the ITC NZL project in a timely, efficient, cost effective and ethical manner.
