We are seeking a solution that provides an updated structural assessment report for the Forestry Administration building at UC campus and, if required, a strengthening concept for the building.
UC have previously had an assessment carried out of the primary lateral system of the building as part of a wider assessment. This showed that the building was not deemed as earthquake prone. However, a revised assessment is now required for this building following the 2017/2018 updates to the NZSEE The Seismic Assessment of Existing Buildings.
Should the assessments show that the building’s strength is lower than 67%NBS, a high-level concept design will be required to enable an initial cost estimate by a quantity surveyor.
