Overview

Waipapa Taumata Rau, The University of Auckland was founded in 1883 and is NZ’s leading university, with the highest ranking of any NZ universities in the QS World Top 100 universities and The Times Top 200 World Universities. It is also NZ’s largest university, with over 46,000 students, nearly 10,000 of whom graduate annually, and almost 6,000 full time staff.
The University is committed to academic and operational excellence, with one of its strategic goals being “Efficient, effective, prudent, transparent, and informed operations”. To this end, the University has embarked on procurement initiatives that ensure we implement quality-based supply relationships that provide outstanding value and service.
INSITE Suite is the system used by the University of Auckland for the management of spaces, including the hosting of the space dataset. The space dataset is critical, not only for the management of space but because it is the one source of truth regarding space identification (i.e., location data).
In June last year, the University of Auckland was officially notified by OSFM Inc that their INSITE suite product would be permanently ceasing all business operations effective 31st December 2023. As a consequence, The University of Auckland now considering an approach to transition from the incumbent solution to a new solution. As INSITE also integrates into a number of key University enterprise systems, careful considerations of strategic and business capability roadmaps must be weighed up against timeframes, cost, and risk.
