The Theatre Royal & Heritage Facility / Museum Redevelopment project for the Timaru District Council includes an upgrade of the Theatre Royal on Stafford Street, Timaru, together with the design and construction of a new Museum / Heritage Centre on the rear of the site. This Request for Proposal (RFP) relates to the provision of Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing Engineering design services. The Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing Services Design Engineer’s role will be pivotal in ensuring that all building services elements are sympathetically and economically designed and integrated into the heritage framework of the Theatre Royal. It will meet both the technical demands and the historical sensitivities of the project. The role will also require input into the overall design of a new Heritage / Museum facility, and any structures required as part of the Laneways public space that encompasses the development.
