Tauranga City Council invite tenders for the above contract.

The contract works comprise the maintenance of reserves, street gardens, revegetation areas, reserves structures, playgrounds, dune vegetation, irrigation systems and water features, barbecues, park lights, and park security, in the Mount Maunganui and Papamoa area.

Activities include: contract management; quality assurance; customer liaison; litter removal; mowing of grass areas, vegetation control on and adjacent to pathways, hard surfaces and all edges; maintenance of shrubberies, annual beds, and hedges; maintenance of water features and irrigation systems; maintenance of revegetation sites and vegetation on dunes; some graffiti removal; application of herbicides and pesticides; application of fertiliser to gardens and grass areas; maintenance of park furniture and structures; maintenance of playgrounds; maintenance and cleaning of barbecues; opening and closing of reserves and after hours vehicle releases; maintenance of padlocks; maintenance of park lights.

The intent of this contract is that all aspects of the work shall be maintained to a high level of service.

There will be a compulsory briefing on the Accela Asset Management Database and a site visit on Wednesday 25 February 20125. Tenders submitted by tenderers who have not attended both the briefing session and the site visit will not be considered.
