Overview

The objective of this procurement is to secure a catering supplier to occupy (via Tenancy) the Commercial Kitchen and Café in Complex 2 at THV and to provide a catering service for the venue hireable spaces.

The goal is to partner with a caterer who will help us create a unique, vibrant, and diverse community hub at THV. The successful applicant will provide a destination café offering food and beverages to daily visitors and supply catering for events hosted in our hireable indoor venues.

Currently, THV welcomes approximately 250,000 visitors annually, including 134 events in the indoor function venues. The completion of Complex 2 will introduce the Balcony Room and two 150-person venues, alongside the Village Hall and four other hireable spaces: the Village Chapel, School House, Durham Barracks, and Village Cinema.

The café is designed and furnished to seat 60 people and is equipped with a commercial kitchen to service both the café and catering needs. The venue spaces are provided with cutlery, crockery, and glassware; however, the caterer will need to supply tableware for the café, as well as cookware for the kitchen.

The Cafe will be a primary hospitality outlet, THV vison is to have a diverse range of food and beverage offerings so we will work with the incumbent to compliment the other offerings in the village. A liquor licence with Section 38 (S38) approval would be advantageous, as we plan to explore the sale of liquor in the future. Applicants must submit a current Food Control Plan, be SHESURE H&S accredited or hold equivalent qualifications and have appropriately qualified staff. Adherence to our Resource Wise sustainability plan is also a requirement.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the achievement of THV's strategic vision, and we are looking for a long-term partnership with the selected supplier to realise our objectives and aspirations.
