Taurikura Drive Upgrade project, between SH36 and Whiore Avenue, aims to prepare for higher traffic volumes and ease anticipated congestion. These improvements, to be completed in 2025, will enable safer, smoother traffic flow and faster and more reliable journey times for all modes of transport, while supporting future development in the region.

Works will begin in early 2025 with construction staged to reduce the impact of the works on both the travelling public and adjacent destination shopping venues while still allowing the works to progress safely and at pace.

TCC has been working with both The Tauranga Crossing and the BP service station in the design of the works and would look to continue this positive relationship as the project moves into implementation with the successful delivery partner.
