TC274-23 Traffic Signals Contract

We would like to notify potential suppliers of an upcoming tender for traffic signals maintenance and renewals for assets owned by Tauranga City Council, Rotorua Lakes Council and Taupo District Council and NZTA.

Mandatory requirements
SHE, ISO 9000, and Totika Qualified, Local Prescence, Minimum of 3 experienced Staff.
The contract requires suppliers to have a depot based within 15 km of the Tauranga City boundaries.

The tender is expected to be advertised in January 2025.

The contract period will be for 3 years with an option for a further extension of 2 years subject to satisfactory performance.
New suppliers to the region will need to provide a plan for how they would establish themselves within a 3-month mobilisation period.

The plan will detail how they would secure a suitable depot site and the resources needed to deliver this contract.

We strongly encourage all interested parties to keep a close watch on GETS in January 2025, where the tender will be advertised.

Please note this notice does not come with documents, these will be released in February.


Indicative timeframes:

Request for Proposal anticipated to be released early January 2025

Project Commencement: July 1st, 2025

Project Completion: June 30th, 2028, with an option to extend for 2 years based on performance.
