Summary of this ROI:
Opal Dr pump station is a key wastewater pump station in the Papamoa/Wairakei urban growth area, the existing pump station is at the end of its useful life and requires replacement. The new Opal Dr pump station will be located on a vacant site adjacent to the existing pump station.
The scope of works include-
Piling to support the wet well and terminal manhole and ground improvement to support ancillary buildings and buried storage tanks
Wet well and terminal manhole structures to depths of 6.5m below ground
Construction of a generator building, control building, biofilter and 10 buried storage tanks
Realignment of the existing rising mains to connect to the new pump station
The duplication of the twin 1600 stormwater culverts where Opal Dr crosses the Wairakei stream
Landscaping within the pump station site and around the culvert site
The future Wairakei pump station is similar in scope to that of the Opal Dr pump station, but it is slightly smaller being a contributing pump station to Opal. We are looking to ECI as a way to collaborate with a contractor and the designer to deliver the best outcome at Wairakei given the challenging site it is to be located on.
The tender will be a two stage ROI/RFT process.
