Tauranga City Council invites proposals this contract.
The purpose of the Urban Centres Technical Assessment is to undertake analysis of the role function and scale of Tauranga urban centres. It will identify the core components of this urban form, its centres, business areas and transport corridors and how these interact to create a well-functioning and vibrant city form. This will focus on our commercially zoned land, excluding industrial areas.
This analysis would define an 'urban centres hierarchy'; and provide recommendations to assist Council how we approach growth management, planning and investment within our urban centres.
