Tauranga City Council invites proposals for this contract for which the services comprises modelling the predicted traffic movements is a key part of ensuring that our capital expenditure decisions will result in a transportation system that meets the needs of Tauranga’s residents.
The system that we use to model these predicted traffic movements is called the Tauranga Transport Model (TTM)
The TTM data is currently out of date, as it does not include many of the new growth areas. The employment predictions in particular were last updated in July 2007.
Both residential and employment figures need to be updated for both 2043 and 2063. The residential data is already available but we require an external provider to develop the Employment predictions for these periods.
