Overview

Tauranga City Council invites responses to it's Request for Proposals for the upgrading of the aeration blowers and diffusers at the Te Maunga Wastewater Treatment Plant. The project is being procured under a supply, design and install contract for the mechanical and electrical plant with some components of the detailed design for the electrical provided complete and included with the RFP document.

The Works include the following;

1. Installation, commissioning and testing of one additional direct drive centrifugal blower supplied by the Employer, with the associated removal of the existing HV Turbo blowers including demolition and modifications to the existing blower room

2. Replacement of the existing aeration basin diffusers and installation of additional diffusers (supplied by the Employer), design, installation and commissioning of diffuser grids and aeration manifold

3. Demolition of electrical works, design, supply, installation, commissioning and testing a new starter cell E1 into MSB 2 Bus A for the supply and protection of the new blower, a new control power distribution board into MSB 2 Bus A, new main incomer, generator incomer, auto transfer switch and interlock into MSB 2 Bus B, and electrical installation for the new blower, blower local control panel and control cabling
