Tauranga City Council invites responses to its Request for Proposals for an engineering consultancy with relevant experience in coastal engineering is required to complete detailed engineering design for the first stage of the access to water project. The first stage comprises a set of tidal stairs and a pier and pontoon that are to be located adjacent to the Waterfront playground and Hairy MacLary sculptures.
The tidal stairs will be approximately 45m in width with approximately a 1V:3H grade.
The pier will be approximately 25m long and 4m wide with a gangway down to a 15mx3m pontoon.
The scope also includes tendering for physical works and construction monitoring.
