Respondents must have a robust health and safety policy and procedures and be able to train and supervise a workforce that aligns with Ministry of Social Development (MSD) social outcome goals by providing employment to approximately 3 eligible individuals not currently in employment, education, or training. MSD staff will support the recruitment of these individuals. The respondent will need to place a senior or supervisory individual with planting experience who can transfer knowledge to the workforce while maintaining high-quality standards. Horizons Regional Council (HRC) are able to support training requirements through a one-day training session at the start of the planting season (May / June).

The selected respondent will be responsible for overseeing and completing work over winter months across an estimated 75 sites in 2025, with an average of 33 poles (willows / poplars) being required per site.
