Commissioned in 1985 the existing lifts (2 passenger & 1 Service lift) servicing vertical movement of patients, staff, visitors & goods in our ward block have outlived their useful life & are programmed to be replaced / refurbished over the next 5 year period.
Replacement / refurbished lift units are to be energy efficient, move at a comfortable speed no faster than 1.0 meters per second and be very reliable. Maintenance options will be considered for the lifts with a defined period in which suppliers will support parts & technology. Life expectancy is 25 years.
We will not consider any proposals from any supplier that does not have a proven record in the lift industry or cannot provide a supported lift maintenance contract. To this end we will require 3 site references for lifts installed over the last 5 year period.
Proposals will include whole of life costs extrapolated out 25 years & include guaranteed performance, energy efficiency, technical support and structured maintenance program.
This is an opportunity to join Hauora Tairawhiti and provide your product that will safely, reliably and efficiently move patients, staff, goods etc. vertically to each floor in the ward area.
Hauora Tairawhiti is the main health provider for the people of the Tairawhiti Area, the Gisborne Hospital floor area approximately 29,000 square meters with the multi levelled ward area being serviced by two passenger & one service lifts.
