This is a Notice of Intent (NOI) to advise that Scion intends to issue a Registration of Interest (ROI) for The Main Contractor for provision of Construction and Fit-out Services for Scion ‘L Block’ Redevelopment on GETS early next week 18 April 2017.

The purpose of this Registration of Interest (ROI) is to solicit proposals from suitability qualified and experienced Contractors in order to shortlist Contractors to provide Proposals. Scion Research will directly engage the successful consultant for this project and the services will be co-ordinated on behalf of Scion by Unispace.

Scion are designing a fit-out for Level 1 of the ‘L Block’, Scion’s administration wing. The first floor will undergo an internal fit out to create open plan office areas around the building perimeter. Meeting rooms, quiet rooms and collaboration spaces will be created primarily in the building core.

The proposed fit-out area totals approx. 1500sqm on Level 1 of Building L, which is a three level building of mid to late 1970s construction, comprising a Basement / Lower Ground Level, Ground Level and First Floor. The location for the work will be at Scion’s Head Office - 49 Sala Street Rotorua.

The fitout will be constructed in a single phase.

The ROI will request information for:
• Key personnel and proposed sub-contractors
• Relevant experience and track record
• Ability to meet our needs and timelines, based on current commitments and resources
• Proposed management, with a focus on sustainability and H&S

Our timelines for construction will be mid-June to end of August.

No response to this NOI is required.
