Sport NZ invites suppliers who have the capability and experience to deliver an Introduction to Evaluation Course. Sport NZ’s Evaluation Capability Building Programme is a new initiative that aims to improve our partners use of information and strengthen the capacities of their programmes monitoring and evaluation systems. Sport NZ, through the partner network, has invested in Insights and Evaluation Leads who will be responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the programme and delivery within their local community. Sport NZ will provide leadership and coordination at a national level. The capability programme will support our partners to learn and develop through structured support across multiple layers within the organisation. Beginning with an ‘Introduction to Evaluation’ training course.
The intensive training programme will focus on building in-house evaluation capability with our selected partners, for example Regional Sport’s Trusts. The overall objective of the training is to strengthen the evaluation skills of individuals and build their capacity to identify data needs, collect and analyse data, and use that data to improve programme planning and decision making, thus improving the capability of our partners and contributing to system-wide improvements.
We require this training to be delivered by a specialist evaluator or research group that have a good track record in the development and delivery of evaluation capability building, with a specific focus on physical activity/health related programmes.
