This contract is for the operation of the Lions Park Public Toilets in Te Anau on a total care, total responsibility basis, 365 days per year. A very high standard of customer service and cleanliness is required by this contract such that the toilet facilities develop and maintain a favourable national and international reputation. Accordingly Contractors will be required to demonstrate a thoroughly professional approach to this contract. The toilets are operated on a user-pay fee system with payments being used to fund a high level of attendance and cleanliness.
In outline, the works to be carried out are as follows:
• Opening and closing of the toilets and showers.
• Cleaning.
• Supply of consumables.
• Attending to give assistance to the public.
• Collecting user fees and depositing them to Council’s account. (Tokens to be returned to Council’s Area Office
• Reporting usage.
• Reporting any building maintenance issues which need attention.
The following are excluded from the scope:
• Building repairs and maintenance.
• Building rate charges, water, power costs.
