In 2022, the Council purchased additional land on Flint Road to extend Midsummer Avenue and developed a concept plan for 45 new sections.
This project entails the appointment of a surveyor to take the lead in the development of the proposed subdivision. The surveyor will be responsible for delivering the detailed design, contract documentation, and overall project management, which will involve the following key tasks:
Detailed Design: Preparation and refinement of the Scheme Plan.
Consent Preparation: Preparation and submission of applications for all necessary statutory approvals.
Consent Approval: Liaising with council planning departments to ensure compliance with planning regulations, zoning requirements, and relevant legislative frameworks.
Construction Documentation: Preparation of comprehensive construction documentation.
Stakeholder Engagement: Coordination with TRC, Iwi, adjoining property owners, and SDC service providers, including Roading, Services, Planning, and Development Control.
