RNZ (Radio New Zealand) is New Zealand's independent public service multimedia organisation and is a Crown entity established under the Radio New Zealand Act 1995. RNZ has a specific role under the Civil Defence Emergency Management Act as the designated Lifeline Utility radio broadcaster in the event of a Civil Defence emergency.
This RFI supports the RNZ intention to build studio and control rooms at our new office in Dunedin. RNZ is looking for flexibility in our approach to fixed/built in studio options. This RFI relates to the purchase of technical studio space what meets our acoustic requirements and supports our preference for a prefabricated or a design that can be dissembled and reassembled at another site. The key objective of this RFI is to ensure we have explored all the options available to deliver a product that best suits our requirements. We (RNZ) have not previously explored the potential to install a product that can be repurposed at another site through an RFI. This means that exploring the options for a flexible product is heavily reliant on this RFI and subsequent RFP.
