Mt Smart Stadium is New Zealand’s premier outdoor concert and festival venue, and the home ground of the National Rugby League (NRL) team, the Vodafone Warriors. Mt Smart Stadium is the top-ranked New Zealand stadium in Pollstar’s Top 50 Outdoor Stadiums worldwide, according to rankings released at the end of June, ranking number #15 in the world.
Built within the quarried remnants of the Rarotonga / Mount Smart volcanic cone, it is located 10 kilometers south of the Auckland city center, in the suburb of Penrose. The stadium is managed by Auckland Stadiums, a business unit of Auckland Unlimited Limited (AU). AU is an Auckland Council Controlled Organisation. AU and Auckland Stadiums are seeking to install LED signage throughout the stadium bowl to enhance patron experience, aid venue change-over, and provide additional revenue generating opportunities. The new LED displays will need to co-ordinate with the existing replay screen and LED gate signage.
