Overview
The Buyer owns and operates a specialist high-performance digital network to meet the unique performance demands of scientists, researchers, innovators and educators within New Zealand and with links to the global National Research and Education Networks (NREN) community.
The Buyer currently has two VMware clusters located in datacentres in New Zealand. Each cluster consists of ESXi hosts, connected via a switched network, to a Dell SCv3000 iSCSI SAN. The Dell SCv3000s have come to the end of their hardware lifecycle and are now due to be replaced. The successful supplier will offer hardware solutions that meet the need of REANNZ and focus on performance, efficiency and the impact on the environment.
