Research Education Advanced Network New Zealand (REANNZ) is Crown-owned membership organisation that powers Aotearoa’s research and education network. The Buyer is New Zealand’s National Research and Education Network (NREN) existing to deliver a specialist high-performance digital network to meet the unique performance demands of scientists, researchers, innovators and educators. The network is a pillar of the value proposition the Buyer offers to the research, education and innovation community of New Zealand.
The Buyer has servers deployed across the network to provide Out of Band access to network equipment and network performance monitoring. These systems are collectively known internally as OOB/perfSONAR. The buyer is looking for the successor to this access and monitoring hardware platform as the current devices performing these roles have come to the end of their hardware lifecycle.
