QLDC is currently investigating long term options for treating Hawea Community wastewater. The proposed works in this RFP is to provide an interim solution (complying) to extend the operational performance of the facility until the permanent option is implemented and operating.

QLDC is seeking proposals for a Design & Build contract to upgrade the Hawea WWTP so it operates within the resource consents conditions.

This project is being funded as part of the Governments 3 W’s Reform Stimulus Programme. Under this
agreement the project is required to be completed by 31 March 2022.
