The Parliamentary Corporation on behalf of the parliamentary service invites interested Registered Architects to assist the Parliamentary Service to undertake a functional needs anaysis and prepare a brief associated with the long-term accommodation needs of Parliament, related to Bowen House.
The Service currently leases Bowen House on Lambton Quay (13,356m2), which accommodates members of parliament and their staff, and staff of the Service and the Office of the Clerk. As the lease for this building is due to expire in December 2018, accommodation options are being investigated. To enable the Parliamentary Service make an informed recommendation to Government, it is undertaking a functional needs analysis to determine Parliament’s long term accommodation requirements, related to Bowen House.
The Service are now seeking the provision of architectural services for ‘pre-design’ stage. Depending upon the outcome of the functional needs analysis, the scope of this appointment may be extended.
