This Notrtice of Information provides background and details of prerequisite requirements for the upcoming request for tenders for the Regional Integrated Tickeing System - Collective procurement.
The Otago Regional Council on behalf of the participating Councils and New Zealand Transport Ticketing Limited (NZTTL), with the Support of the New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) are in the process of finalising tender documentation for the collective procurement of an Automated Fare Collection System for the Council’s urban bus networks.
The Councils are proposing to replace public transport ticketing systems currently in use within the Councils geographical areas with a card based integrated ticketing system for use on public transport services for all the participating Council’s. The procurement will be for supply and ongoing support of equipment, supporting software for approximately 400 buses, associated retail devices and systems, including topology management and the proposed integration with the national central system.
