NZTA are seeking a Contractor to work alongside the Wellington Transport Alliance to undertake preventative and reactive maintenance of traffic signals in the Wellington Region. This will cover all traffic signal assets on the State Highway and all local authority assets, with the exception of Wellington City Council assets. These assets are essential to the safe and efficient operation of the State Highway network.
This is a 5 year contract (4 years + 1) commencing 1 July 2024.
The scope of the new contract includes the following services:
• Planned preventative/scheduled maintenance on traffic signals assets:
• Reactive fault investigation and resolution on a 24 by 7 basis;
• Asset condition assessment and rating;
• Inventory updates and management of information in RAMM; and
• Stock and spares inventory management
The contracts require suppliers to have a depot based within Wellington or its surrounding areas. New suppliers to the region will need to provide a plan for how they would establish themselves within a fixed mobilisation period. The plan should detail how they would secure a suitable depot site and the resources needed deliver this contract.
A request for tender for Contract 9907 (Wellington ITS Field Maintenance and Renewals) is being tendered in parallel. Suppliers will be able to tender for either or both as individual contracts as well as the option of submitting a combined tender for both contracts. A combined tender should include any detail around efficiencies achieved, availability of technical staff and any other relevant information which would show benefits of a combined contract to the Principal.
Electronic copies of the RFT documentation are attached to this advertisement.
