SH2 Silverstream Railway Retaining Wall Barrier Retrofit

This is a Physical Works contract for the supply of materials, labour and equipment to complete a Thriebeam retrofit to the existing barrier system on the SH2 Silverstream Railway Retaining Wall (BSN 9593).

Only Tenderers pre-qualified to 4C under the terms of the Highways and Network Operations (HNO) Prequalification System will be eligible to submit a tender.

The Contract Works comprise:
a) Obtain a “Permit to Enter” the railway corridor;
b) The provision and application of height access, railway corridor supervision and temporary traffic management;
c) The supply and installation of a Thriebeam retrofit and backing plate to the existing roadside barrier system above the SH2 Silverstream Railway Retaining Wall (as shown in Figure 1); and
d) Re-profiling the adjacent concrete barrier end terminals to provide a transition between the new Thriebeam retrofit and the existing W-section guardrail either side of the retaining wall.
