Overview

NZ Post has been measuring its carbon footprint for over 10 years with Toitu Envirocare. In 2018, NZ Post committed to be carbon neutral from 2030. A science-based target to reduce NZ Post’s absolute Scopes 1, 2 and 3 GHG emissions by 32% by 2030 against the 2018 baseline was set and third-party verified by the SBTi. NZ Post has since updated its commitment to SBTi, in line with the latest best practice, with the adoption of a net-zero target by 2050. NZ Post is seeking to appoint a provider to supply and support an off-the-shelf solution that will allow us to collect, calculate and manage our carbon emissions. NZ Post will identify a Solution that delivers:

• Comprehensive Automation
• Off-The-Shelf (OTS) Solution
• Live Reduction Planning and Modelling
• Live Scenario Planning and Modelling
• Compliance with Standards
• Immediate Implementation
• Budget Expectations

This OTS tool will allow NZ Post to fulfil its reporting obligations to the SBTi, Carbon Neutral Government Programme (CNGP) and support the wider sustainability initiatives of NZ Post.

Please note, this is a 2-envelope approach. New Zealand Post is requesting suppliers to propose their form of contract. Please find all relevant documentation attached.
