New Zealand Police is intending on issuing a competitive process for the purchase oral fluid screening devices for drug presence roadside and specimen containers to collect saliva for laboratory evidential testing.

The Land Transport (Drug Driving) Amendment Bill will enable the rollout of roadside drug screening regime that will allow the New Zealand Police (the Police) to screen drivers for the presence of impairing drugs using Oral Fluid Screening Devices (OFSD).
This opportunity is intended to be released via the Government Electronic Tenders Service (“GETS”).
