The Eastern Police District require Suppliers for the provision of adequate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week services for the towing and appropriate storage of vehicles, motorcycles, vehicle parts, and small boats in the Gisborne, Wairoa, Hawkes Bay and Central Hawkes Bay areas.

The services above are also applicable to Police vehicles damaged in crashes and the movement of Police vehicles between Police premises and associated vehicle repairers.

New Zealand Police also require suppliers for the provision of impound services for vehicles are are subject to immediate 28 day removal off the road, the requirements for which are set in legislation. Given the number of impounds undertaken and the resulting storage requirements Police may elect to appoint more than one supplier for the provision of impound services.
