The NZDF has a significant number of DEI capital projects that are at various stages of design in the short (12 months)/medium (1-3 years)/long term (3-10 years). Pending the amount of Budget 24 funding available, this will result in an increased level of market engagement in the short and medium term.
Given this context, the NZDF is interested in holding market briefings to:
• Provide an overview of the current capital pipeline, so potential suppliers have better visibility of potential future works.
• Provide an overview of NZDF approach to procurement (including current process, key challenges, and planned initiatives).
• Further understand the potential constraints that exist in national and regional markets. This will help the NZDF to better plan and prepare projects for procurement.
• Further understand challenges that exist in an NZDF context so future market engagement can be better tailored.
The NZDF will be conducting regional Market Briefings with interested Market Participants commencing May 2024. Specific details of these Market Briefings are provided below:
• Northern – Auckland, 7 June 2024, 1000-1200
• Central – Palmerston North, 29 May 2024, 1000-1200
• Southern – Christchurch, 6 June 2024, 1000-1200
The attached Questionnaire must be completed by participants prior to the Market Briefings and is due to the NZDF on 10 May 2024. The purpose of the questionnaire is for the NZDF to gather insights on participant experience (including work on previous NZDF programmes and projects), seek feedback on the NZDF’s current approach to procurement, and understand market constraints/capacity (current and predicted). This should take roughly ten minutes to complete.
Note, this ROI relates to DEI capital works, there is a separate process underway for opportunities related to facilities maintenance.
Please see attachments section for associated presentation and questionnaire.
