The NZDF has various Soldier Personal Protective Equipment (SPPE) items currently in service that are expected to reach life of type or become operationally obsolete over the next 1-3 years, and be withdrawn from service
The NZDF intends going to market to secure new long-term performance-based commercial arrangements for the supply of:
• Torso Protection Systems (including load carriage equipment and body armour)
• Combat Helmets
• Hearing Protection
• Digital X-Ray machines (for non-destructive assurance testing of ballistic hard armour plates)
