The New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF) maintains the Royal New Zealand Navy's Fleet of ships via a sustainment contract that concludes in early 2022. Work has commenced to consider the best manner to support the fleet into the future; this initiative is the Future Maritime Support Construct (FMSC).
The purpose of this RFI is to help NZDF gain insight into Industry's experience in the support of Naval fleets and build an understanding of the capability available.
The NZDF wishes to meaningfully engage with Industy to co-create the Future Support Model (FSM). The FSM will shape the approach to the market which is indicatively scheduled for issue towards the middle of 2020.
