Overview

Kia ora koutou,

New Plymouth District Council has released an RFI for Contact 25-800 Puke Ariki Library RFID Security System.

New Plymouth District Council (Council) is seeking a modern RFID security system to enhance our library services. The new system must effectively manage physical items and enable patrons to check items in and out automatically. Key components include security gates, RFID tag readers, and user-friendly kiosks.
The chosen supplier will be responsible for delivering the complete software solution, along with the implementation and installation of the necessary hardware. Comprehensive training for our staff is essential to ensure smooth operation. The supplier will also provide ongoing helpdesk support and maintenance to guarantee the system's reliability.
Currently, our libraries use RFID technology with tags embedded in all loanable items. However, the existing system has reached the end of its useful life, making an upgrade essential.
By investing in this new RFID system, our council aims to significantly improve library services, streamline operations, and enhance the user experience for our community.

This tender opportunity is being advertised via GETS, however, all further communications related to this tender will be conducted through TenderLink.
