This Request for Proposal (RFP) is an invitation to suitably qualified suppliers to submit a proposal for the Provision of an Asbestos Register, and provision of a management survey to generate the necessary information to populate the register.
We require:
(a) the provision of a database register for asbestos.
(b) a management survey to locate as far as reasonably practicable, the presence and extent of any suspect ACMs in our buildings, and to assess their present condition. The findings of the management survey should form the basis of NMDHB’s asbestos register. We require the results of the survey to be entered into the register, and for the register to be a live, continuously updated resource.
(c) strategic detailed asbestos testing to be completed where necessary to enhance the results of the management survey. The UK HSE HSG 264 standard should be used as the basis for this work.
Following completion of the management survey, we will need to be provided with a comprehensive report detailing the location and properties of any asbestos located, or presumed within our building stock.
